Meet Our Founders
Dr. Venura Perera - Co-Founder
Dr. Venura Perera is an accomplished technology leader, data scientist, and passionate advocate for making technology accessible to all. With over 15 years of experience spanning industry and academia, Venura has built a reputation for driving innovation, delivering data-driven solutions, and fostering inclusive workplaces across the UK and Ireland.
Venura holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Exeter, along with MSc and BSc degrees in computational and applied mathematics. He has held senior leadership roles in major organizations such as Allianz, LV= General Insurance, and Inclued.AI, where he led cross-functional teams and developed pioneering AI products.

Dr. Nicola Perera - Co-Founder
Dr. Nicola Perera is a passionate educator, ecologist, and advocate for children's wellbeing and opportunity. With a PhD in Ecology and a lifelong commitment to animal welfare and environmental sustainability, Nicola brings a unique perspective to JollyGreenFrogs.
Nicola's journey has been shaped by her deep love for nature and her hands-on experience running a successful hedgehog rescue, where she has cared for and rehabilitated hundreds of hedgehogs in need. For the past decade, she has been home educating her own children, nurturing their curiosity, independence, and confidence to carve their own paths.
At JollyGreenFrogs, Nicola leads initiatives focused on educational enrichment, sustainability, and holistic wellbeing for children and families. Her vision is to create opportunities for every child to discover their strengths, embrace technology as a tool for growth, and build a healthier, more sustainable future.
